Memories of my Italy trip in October 2007.
The little town proved to be rather light-hearted. A carefree spirit that Montecatini (Bologna) provided me with. The temporary escapism from that all so busy city life. Undescribable.
Interestingly, the style proved to be rather casual chic.. Men in their skinnes (some in striking red!), aviators. Ladies in their 60s had matching Salvatore Ferragamo scarves and skirts. Girls in their late 20s, dressed casually, cycling with their YvesSaintLaurent 'Downtown Bag' lay in their baskets. That is their amazing level of appreciation in Italy! It seemed like the only few places which one could dress up and loud without having people to roll their eyes or get a stare, like the sunny island of Singapore.
I settled in my Christian Dior Oversized Shades, Calvin Klein suit and shirt, Kwanpen Alligator Belt, April 77 skinnies. Gucci Loafers. Ethan-K Alligator Tote. I was one happy soul in his own bloody world, striding down the mini-streets, waiting for ciesta to be over, and the shops to re-open!
Morini (Club 21 equivalent or bigger) boasted an attractive small display of products. Diverse luxury fashion brands were surprisingly well mixed and matched on the mannequins! The Gucci Indys, Aviatrix's... Fendi, Miu Miu...and so on. Pretty pleasing to the eye. Pardon the quality of the shots.
